Dot XL Pro Chip

The Dot XL Pro Chip are amazing! I love how simple they were to switch out when I needed to, and simple to charge. They are nice and bright, so they really add to the experience and accuracy of my flow in the dark for quick transitions and tosses. Aside from that the different colors and modes are really fun, beautiful and always crowd pleasing.

I enjoy how easy it is to work theses chips and the directions are simple to follow! They have solid color modes and have 5 color changing modes. I would compare the brightness to one of those bluetooth light bulbs and roughly 100 lumens. In my opinion you should be careful with the charger USB port while plugging it into the cord, and while your taking the chips out of the casing. I have broken the ports off and I have tired to use a soldering gun to put them back on, but I was not successful. I lack the proper skills to get the broke port to get back on. They feel super nice inside the handle of ultra knobs and click on and off fairly easy. If you don get them to sit right in the handle then there's a bit of a struggle to press them down. I like these because you can fit event a 1/2 Technora by tieing a knot at the end and by cutting a cross + in the bottom of the handle. I also have these handles on my 'fire orbit" and its a good balance to the weight in the center.

This was a replacement chip for on that I somehow bent the charger port casing and couldnt plug in anymore. I love these handles, they are way more secure that the older ones that I lost the light out of a couple years ago.

Found the Single button chip Simple to operate, simply click through the different color options or hold down the button two cycle through three different flash modes.

Makes my handles light up awesome!

I'm really happy with these XL Pro chips - they're really bright, the battery lasts a long time, and has some pretty nice color settings. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone that's looking to up their poi game. I've put them on both my LED and fire poi and they really spice up a performance. They make tosses SO much easier, particularly with fire poi at night. I actually don't like spinning fire without them anymore, the fact that I can see exactly where the handles are at all times is a serious boon to safety. They make isolation work look spectacular, as the knobs help to illuminate your hand path - a bit of a double edged sword though because any error in your form becomes more apparent, but that's okay - I'm not perfect and I don't expect my flow to be either - I just think it looks cool. :)

I have run into some issues with build quality though - So far I've purchased 4 chips, one stopped working entirely (wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge), so I send it in to have it replaced. The first replacement arrived broken as well, and had that replaced. The second replacement lasted a few days before it would no longer hold a charge (I can leave it on the charger for days and the charging indicator never turns off!) - I haven't sent it in for another replacement yet because I feel bad - I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else so I must be doing something wrong! Either way, Ultrapoi customer service has been fantastic and has been very communicative with me and quick to send out replacements.

The DOT XL Pro Chip has a long battery life and charges quickly. Both the head and handle of my Orb Poi are bright enough to enjoy at dusk.

The tether is firm and wide, which took some getting used to compared to my lighter and longer LanternSmith Umoja Poi. The head is soft and doesn’t hurt if I hit myself, which is always good!

The basic functions of the chip are easy to use but I need to use the directions to explore further.

The units were very easy to install without any special tools. Make sure to read the specs when ordering parts. I ordered the wrong ones because I didn’t read carefully. UltraPoi was great about the return and store credit so that I could get the correct items

I think the world just thas it out for me, i'm gods favorite joke. 2 orders shipped to an address to to a house that is 4 hours away and no I'm not driving 8 hours total to get 70 dollar LED handles. It soul cost me $150 in gas lol

These were replacements for my ultrapoi. I swapped them out with my current ones and everything works again.

Ordered replacement chip for my poi handle which stopped working after only a month or so of owning it ..my new chip still hasn't arrived...been quite some time now since I ordered

had 2 of 4 in my orb poi that have stopped working in less then 6 month

I definitely enjoy these chips and the modes on them. Only thing is when you change the flash pattern for a given color, it doesn’t save that selection on the next time through the colors. It just goes back to strobe and you have to change the mode every time you get back to the color. I really wish it would save modes. Being able to have a favorites page or changing the order of the modes like on some glove chips would be awesome as well.
